to your point, there have been 2 4* LDS CB's in the last 2 years
That is by far the most difficult of those 3 positions to recruit to over the last 30 years for BYU.
2 4* LDS CBs in 2 years is UNPRECEDENTED, I can't think of an LDS 4* true CB recruit in the last 30 years besides Warner & Lake.
would we still be substandard in those position groups to the top teams, yeah, but there are enough 3*-4* LDS guys at those spots to make a top 20 team.
