Though you're nitpicking the post as just an opinion, you can't argue that Kalani is more than an average coach.
Kalani is a great BYU ambassador.

He's said that he wants to be the Poly Lavell....but the only thing I've seen that hints of being like Lavell is attempting to be a player's coach.

But, lavell managed his coaches. He innovated and brought in innovators. He made the hires and changed BYU football forever.

Kalani is not moving the needle in any areas other than being a great BYU ambassador and a great player's coach.

Jay Hill is the first good hire. You could probably throw in Grimes too, at that time. We need more of those hires in each position.

Kalani is the football CEO. The product is average right now. No way around it.

He has a grace period for entering the B12 and ramping up, but I'm curious to see how long that lasts and if Kalani can get the better coaches and recruits
