Sure it does - are we a 2006 John Beck away from an elite run? Maybe. Are we a
2004 John Beck away from that? Nope. 2004 John Beck's numbers look eerily similar to 2024 Jake Retzlaff.
Beck: 15 TDs to 8 INTs.
Retzlaff: 19 TDs to 10 INTs.
Beck: 55.9 completion percentage.
Retz: 57.8 completion percentage.
Beck 23 years old.
Retz 23 years old.
Equivalent number of games started coming into the year.
So "John Beck" wasn't gonna change the 2024 outcomes unless it's 2006 John Beck. Once we see 2025 Jake Retzlaff we'll see.
Similar thing works with Taysom 2013 vs Taysom 2014.

That’s a fair point, but you are looking at all those QBs as seniors or who had multiple seasons as a starter.
