become to deal with all the headaches.
I could tell you stories for hours about how stupid education has become...from an administrative standpoint. If we really cared about having the best teachers, we would need to only do three things:
1) Pay strong, competitive wages to ensure the best candidates apply,
2) Kill the unions, so that the bad teachers can be shown the door,
3) Hold students accountable for behavior:
a) If they sluff and fail classes, they can do summer school or repeat the grade.
b) If they behave inappropriately in school, suspend them...obviously based on the severity of the infraction.
We have gotten too soft on everyone and are afraid to hold anyone accountable for their decisions. It is costing us big-time.
