Remarking on Jake's lack of consistency and accuracy doesn't always make you a hater.
He's done a lot of great things for the team, and his toughness and grit have never been in question. But pointing to our record as proof he doesn't need to work on his field vision, progressions, accuracy, turnovers, and mental laps is ridiculous.

Like many of you, I've met him on a few occasions and he's been nothing but classy and committed to team goals. I also admire his tough running at moments in a game where that was the only way the team was going to extend the possession (Utah and OSU as just a couple of familiar examples).

That being said, it's perfectly fine to acknowledge that he regularly misses on wide open deep routs (makes shallow routs more difficult than they need to be), has more passes batted down at the line then any BYU QB that I can recall, gets locked in on the WR he's going to on a specific play, and often makes poor decisions throwing the ball under pressure that would have been better thrown away. Most people will point to the picks at the end of the Kansas and ASU games as examples, but I was more frustrated with missing a wide open JoJo Philips prior to the ASU pick at the end of the game. Sometimes missing Philips isn't a bad thing (we wouldn't have our crazy win against OSU if Lassiter hadn't caught it instead and made magic happen).

I'm glad he's coming back for his Sr. campaign; there should be a significant improvement, but these are the areas that need to improve if our offense is going be as strong as our defense and special teams.
