Because recruiting rankings are in the FPI formula, and ESPN

pushes FPI down everyones throat, it is usually the first computer ranking everyone looks at and impacts where AP voters and the CFP committee ranks and seed teams.

If recruiting rankings are artificially lowered for the B12 or non SEC/B10 leagues, it has a real world affect on rakings and CFP selection. It might not be a big part of the equation, but it is in the equation.

I honestly don't care what the transfers are rated at, but 247 lost ALL credibility when they rated high 5 star recruits
