Can’t play many games, so it’s hard to have a big tournament to include everyone. There’s no way to fairly judge two teams that played vastly different schedules…it has to be subjective. So it’s not corrupt, it’s just impossible to rank objectively.

I think they should have an expanded playoff and start it in the conferences. Let the conferences decide how many teams they want to include in their portion, but let each P4 conference advance 2 teams to the full playoff and then the G5 can advance 1 teams. That gets you to 13, so play around to get that to 16 and that’s about as fair as I think it can get.
