Your first couple of criteria result in 11 teams, leaves 1 spot left

for one of

BYU 10-2
Miami 10-2
Alabama 9-3
South Carolina 9-3
Ole Miss 9-3

tbh feels like BYU is more deserving than those other teams, but thats my biased opinion

I do honestly believe BYU could beat any of those 4 (while also acknowledging that any of those 4 could beat BYU) IMO there is not a clear separation that one has

Collapse and looking terrible are not terms that apply this year. Try BYU 6 v Texas 35, BYU 7 v WVU 37, BYU 13 v ISU 45
