Here’s the thing in this that most overlook: the final price of the home always
will be as high as the sellers can get it, regardless of who is using an agent on what side.

For example, does a for sale by owner lower the price of their home 6% because they refuse to work with agents? The answer is no. They will always try and get the highest price no matter what which is what they should do.

When both parties use agents, they just have to factor how much they’re willing to pay for the third-party help. But no one is forced on either side.

In the end, it all depends on the individual offers and how much both parties are willing to take out of their bottom line to get the third-party help. It’s really that simple.
