Maybe ARod's refusal to throw down the middle means he is shifting away from TEs
IMO that would be terrible as BYU has had, and can continue to have, great success with the TE position, but it's possible that the current philosophy just doesn't value the position enough. The fact that Rex has had so much success just goes to show how well the TE position can/should work, and the value that good coaching can provide.
