My daughter was nearly killed by our neighbor's lab when she was 4. It took 68 stitches to put her scalp & ear back
together. It's really a miracle that none of the bites were in visible places on her face.
I don't fault the breed or the owner, (it was our bishop's dog, and they had it put down immediately) it was just an unfortunate bad thing that happened. Most labs have fantastic temperaments, including the one that is now our family pet.
Pit bulls scare me though; aggression has been bred into them.

I have Labs myself but I like the pit breed because 1) its small, 2) doesn't shed much, 3) very smart,
