They were driving with the ball, down 6, at our 40 yard line, with 5 minutes to go. That was with our incredibly lucky KR TD on the onside kick.
Then we scored a TD, forced a fumble on the first play of their drive, and ran out the clock. But that game was very much anyone’s game with 5 minutes left.
On top of that, Kansas is not a good team. They won five games. They certainly got better as the season went on, but they were 1-5 at one point with their only win against Lindenwood (pretty sure that’s near Mirkwood?). Neither is Utah or Oklahoma State, and it took miracles to beat both of them.
