We didn't do meds and helped in learn how to manage without them. It wasn't easy, but he had help by talking with a
therapist, getting on a plan at school. In the end, turned out great - he is on a mission now and excelling, and we believe is set up better to manage his life. Just one example anyway of going the non-med route.
