I have no idea if the average office worker puts in 3-4 hours of work per day.
Maybe that's true? No clue.

With any employer and employee, there's an exchange happening. You're offering something, and they're offering to pay you for it. If your employer doesn't care how many hours you work, and they're happy to pay you just for getting a certain task done, then that's a fair trade. I just think it's needs to be transparent.

For a lot of employers and employees, that's not the case. The employer thinks it's paying for 8 hours of work.
