You don't take 45 seconds to change a diaper. Your own post strongly suggests
that it's much more than that.
But ultimately I agree with you that if your employer knows what they're getting from you - 5 hours of quality work per day - and they're paying you what they believe that work is worth, then it's a fair trade. It's just that if your employer is in the dark and doesn't know what they're paying for, then it's a bad shake for the one cutting the paycheck.
