Nearly every other coach on that staff are former players, not coach Clark. I am also not a tall guy and I coach TE at the high school level.
When I met Coach Clark, the fact he was so short but yet was coaching tight ends told me he didn't have this job because of his past success on the field, clearly he has that job for reasons other than experience playing the spot. Listening to him coach up players at camps, talking with him during breaks, and speaking with other HS coaches who know him well let me know that there is more to coaching than just being a former super stud.
Honest to goodness, he inspired me to be a scholar and tactician coaching a position in which I did not have any personal experience myself.
So, tell your dad, that his height was a motivation to me.
