I don't know much about your dad. There aren't a lot of coaches who never played football who end up being football coaches, so his story was always intriguing to me - particularly because he was so short that he always stood out among the players and other coaches.

I was honestly surprised to hear he was fired. There has been a lot of speculation here about needed coaching changes, and his name never came up. I don't know what the thought process was and I have no idea why they think that this change will make a difference.

But I want you to know that I've got nothing but respect for your dad - and I hope that he knows that most of us fans are in that same boat. I've heard nothing but great things about him from anyone who has ever associated with him. I've never heard a negative thing about him from any of the players or other coaches. I don't know why this happened - but please let your dad know that there are many fans who have a great deal of admiration and respect for him and wish him nothing but the best.
