CB is hilarious sometimes. BYU has looked terrible the last 4 games and no one

We haven't looked "terrible", but I agree with everything else you said

Dec 3, 11:26am
But did we look like a playoff team? Like a first-round bye, playoff team?
NewYorkCougar
Dec 3, 11:29am
I agree with that. Part of it was that our schedule was a lot tougher and many of the bounces that went for us
darkcoug
Dec 3, 11:31am
Schedule tougher in the second half of the season? Are you kidding?

Dec 3, 11:44am
Yes, I think @Utah with everything on the line, Kansas during their 3 ranked team massacre, and end-of-season @ASU

Dec 3, 11:48am
Mmmm, yes... 3-6 Kansas at home was very tough. Utah and Ok State were tough

Utah was very much not at home

Good point. I upgrade that to an ugly win over a bad team in a tough environment

I think yes - what 12 teams are better?
HarlemCoug
Dec 3, 11:53am
All of the undefeated and 1-loss P4 teams (yes, SMU is better right now). Boise

Your first couple of criteria result in 11 teams, leaves 1 spot left

I would bet against BYU, but I agree with you about very little resume diff

Multiple of the projected playoff teams have not looked like "playoff" teams

Right. BYU is not a top 12 team, but neither are at least half of the top 12.

i would say BYU looked like as much of a first round bye type of team as anyone

Yeah terrible is a strong word. But they haven't looked good

Uhhh... From the 2nd half of UCF, all of Utah, all of Kansas, and the first half of ASU. We looked really bad.

BYU hasn’t looked terrible. BYU had two close losses against solid teams, and

Terrible is the wrong word…they’ve looked mediocre

idk if you noticed but there were a lot of worse losses than ours above us.

College football is unique…lots of teams and you can’t play a balanced schedule

I agree with your last part. But the current system is extremely corrupt

To go from 13 to 16, you could give an autobid to Alabama, hahaha.

Collapse and looking terrible are not terms that apply this year. Try BYU 6 v Texas 35, BYU 7 v WVU 37, BYU 13 v ISU 45

BYU shouldn't be evaluated in a vacuum. What about Bama getting blown out to OU?
