I get to spend 4+ months a year with them without work. Each day I love being able to leave the house and change my mindset on the way to work as well as coming home. The decompression time for me is critical because I can separate the stresses of work from home even though my commute is less than 10 minutes.

I've never once missed one of my kids things before and never will. This is definitely "to each their own" kind of thing. For me, fully remote just doesn't work.
