who, is also an outstanding man. We should all have a great deal of respect and empathy for them both. However, over the past couple of years I have been concerned about the quality of the tight end play. Certainly, because of Rex's injury he has lost a great deal of speed, quickness, agility and the ability to separate from defenders. That was evident. Notwithstanding what we hear, I would be stunned if he makes an NFL squad now. However, in preseason we were told that there were two or three young tight ends who were stars to be. We didn't get much of a glimpse from them. Something simply was off. Now, admittedly, it may have been the QB play (although Hall didn't get the ball to them much either). Or it may have been Roderick's play calls. But certainly, imo, tight end play was a weakness--one of many--for this offense. Still, Mr. Clark is a great man and likely a fine coach.
