FPI gives the expected point spread against an average team on a neutral field

So it thinks the top team Ohio St would beat this statistically average team on a neutral field by 27 and BYU would win by 11. Teams are ranked by point spread. They then can convert that point spread difference into a probability of winning between any two arbitrary teams.
