Of course no program has a great team every single year. I agree.
But everyone knows that losing Texas and OU, and replacing them with Houston, UCF, and Cincy, is a big step backwards for a conference. Not just financially or in terms of eyeballs, but in terms of football strength.
So, we can say, “ackchyually, sometimes UCF is really good” until we are blue in the face. But it’s just dancing around the reality that everyone knows but not everyone is willing to admit.
And the funny part is that those unwilling to admit it are the ones accusing others of being biased. It’s very rich.
