The Big 12 lost its best programs (UT and OU), replaced them with mediocre PAC-12 programs (ASU, Arizona, Utah, CU). The end result is that Big 12 teams have fewer opportunities for signature wins that make a statement and help mask a bad loss.
But instead, everyone now acts like only bias would make someone think the Big 12 isn’t as good as the SEC or the B1G, as if all P4 conferences were created equally and should be considered as being on par. They are not.
The SEC was better than the Big 12 even before they poached Texas.
The B1G was better than the Big 12 even before they added Oregon.
ASU has been middling in the worst P5 conference for years, and in their very first year in the Big 12 they win the conference. That is not a good look.
