Did you like their sauce?
I love Terry Black's in Austin and had wanted to try Salt Lick. Was in Austin again a couple months ago and had bbq at a couple different places. Ended up trying salt lick at the airport on the way home. It's never going to be as good at the airport but the meat was decent. I didn't like their sauce, though, and they only had one choice of sauce. Maybe at the regular restaurant they have more sauces.

I hate to be that guy but that brisket looks very dry and not very good. There are some great places in Austin

Spent no time in TX but had BBQ in AL & GA plenty. Realize TX is different. Honestly neither of those meats today were

The student is wrong and gives dubious recommendations. There are literally more than 100 places here with better BBQ
