Salt Lick is great, glad you enjoyed it! I think what we're all saying is if you have time, you'd be missing out of you didn't try some other places while you're there.
Btw look up the cathedral of junk. That was a fun thing to see in Austin. So weird and so typical of austin culture.

Spent no time in TX but had BBQ in AL & GA plenty. Realize TX is different. Honestly neither of those meats today were

The student is wrong and gives dubious recommendations. There are literally more than 100 places here with better BBQ
