Am I wrong about this common driving scenario
Two way stop. I arrive at the stop after the car across the intersection. He’s turning left, I’m going straight through. We wait for traffic to clear. 9/10 times the car turning left will go, thinking because they arrive at stop first, they have right-of-way.

Doesn’t the car going straight always have right of way? My teen kids tell me flat out I’m wrong.
