greatbam 1% better everyday
I was working with a recruiter recently over a job opportunity and was stressing out over this a bit recently..
The job opportunity was like $40,000 higher than my current position but.. I'd go from working from home to being in the office 100% of the time which wouldn't work out as well for my young family.

There were a lot of tradeoffs between the two opportunities and I think personally a lot of my stress was simply not sitting down and writing and comparing my current job to the shine-y, new, more $$$$$ job.

It seems like you've already done a lot of the analyzing. If you haven't yet it seems to me like it would be good idea to literally get a piece of paper and layout the positive's ( + 's ) and negatives ( - 's ) of both so you can see both side by side. Then it seems to me like it'd be good to order what's most important to you.

Not trying to treat you like a child or anything but here's some basic questions :

Do I like the company I work for and what have others said it is like working for the perspective company? You've already mentioned some about your current company.. "I’ve gotten pretty good at what I do and am well respected in that organization."

Are there opportunities for growth where I work and what are the opportunities for growth at the new company? Am I need need of a growth opportunity or am I still growing at my current job?

Best of luck! If you want any further thoughts you can BM me.
