Just google "best venues in college football". The internet is your friend.
LES is consistently among the top venues in the west. I have yet to see RES ranked ahead of LES.
I've been to two games at RES that weren't BYU vs. Utah. I saw Utah vs. TCU in 2005, and Utah vs. Washington in 2011. Neither game gave me any reason to rank RES higher than any LES in an category (other than tailgating).
