I was at the Miami game.Stadium was full 30 minutes before and most of the crowd
especially the student sections never sat down the entire night. The atmosphere in that game was amazing. Still remember that game. I was also at the shhhhhh game where Dee Dowis kept getting the refs to call penalties against the BYU crowd.
Part of the lack of crazy fanatical fans at LES, is the lack of alcohol. I personally think the crowd is fine, except where the blue hairs are, but they are old. I personally love that I can take my daughter to a game and not worry about her being yelled and cursed at. I have personally witnessed this at two U of A games that I have been to...one the ASU rivalry game and the other vs BYU.
