My rankings based on games I have been to
1.) Wisconsin. Amazing. Football was in the air, red was everywhere, campus was busy. Awesome, loud, packed fans. Cool traditions - "Jump" and the after party - it has a name but I can't remember it.
2.) Boise. For being in the middle of city this one was pretty good. Not like Wiscy but lots of tailgaiting, stadium was busy beforehand. One of loudest stadiums I have been in.
3.) BYU. We have a beautiful stadium and campus. The party doesn't spread thru campus like it does at Wisconsin but around LES it isn't too bad. Lots of families, some tailgating in the grass lot west of stadium. My biggest beef with BYU is the lack of 1.) consistency in clothing and 2.) how disinterested in the game some fans seem. The actual game experience is boring.
4.) Ga Tech. The Varsity is a cool tradition. Campus is a little too much in the middle of ATL to really spread the party out. Don't remember the fan base being overly enthusiastic.
5.) Hawaii, SJSU, NMSU are all somewhere a little below my high school.
I have been to other games (TCU, UTEP, Mississipi State, New Mexico, CSU, AFA) but figured this was a good list for where I feel BYU is.
Before we focus on awesome pre/post atmosphere...we gotta somehow fix the in game atmosphere.
