RE: LES has the worst atmosphere of any stadium I've ever been to.
My Ranking of stadiums / game day I have been to a BYU game at.
Setting
1. LES
2. Husky Stadium
3. Aloha
4. Boston College
5. Rose bowl
Stadium Facilities
1. Cowboy's stadium- By far the best.
2. Super Dome
3. Longhorn
4. Everything else kind of a wash
Atmosphere / Pregame
1. Wisconsin
2. Texas
3. Rose bowl
4. Everything else kind of a wash- I will admit that walking into the Rice bowl with my BYU flag in hand has always been the most entertaining although the Wisconsin fans showed a surprising level of obtuse behavior as well.
Crowd / Decibel level
1. Huskey stadium- the metal roof amplified the crowd
2. Wisconsin
3. At all the other away games I have been to the BYU fans at that stadium made enough noise that the opposing fans commented how loud our fans were and how surprised they were at the number of fans. Of course at the BYU/Utah games I have gone to they mostly just yelled profanities at me.
