If you can play a pivotal role, you will get playing time. Mag, Bosko, Stewart are all examples of that.

Next year assuming Demin goes to the NBA and Crawford and Catchings transfer (I hope they don't), here's what we have a what we need.

1) Back up PG to take over for Hall when he's done. Look for someone who has 2-4 years of eligibility and some experience.
2) Stretch 4 sharpshooter - take over for Knell. Would be an upgrade (Knell has been great), if we had someone with more athleticism and can create his own shot. Bosko could play this role. Kanon could as well, if he stays.
3) Defensive stopper who can shoot threes to take over for Mag. This actually could be AJ. AJ is a very good defender already. Long and athletic.
4) Another defensive stopper who can spell other defensive stopper to take over for Stewart. Shooting threes, getting to the hoop, etc. all pluses.
5) Rim protector with 2-3 years of eligibility to take over for Fous. Good post moves are a plus. Staton is going to take some time to develop and put on muscle.

We will probably have four scholarships to give - likely all transfer portal guys. We won't settle on high school talent this. Lots of great talent in 2026 from the high school ranks.
