If you're looking to develop as a player on a team that will be highly visible and in a system that mirrors the NBA, BYU is the place to be right now. While some players look at total minutes and average points as the end all be all, NBA scouts don't really care that much about those things. A player contributing meaningful minutes for BYU, whether as a starter or coming off the bench, is going to get a look in the NBA if their body type fits the mold and they are productive and show meaningful progress in the minutes they get.
The deeper rotation means the developing players won't have the same strain on their body as a team that only gives minutes to 7-8 guys with heavy minutes for the starters. As long as the aspiring NBA hopefuls show up in big games (there are a lot of those in the B12) and in the NCAA tournament, NBA scouts won't care about the amount of minutes they are getting throughout the season.
