For every player, they can play themselves into minutes. Even baker could get
Passed by a better player. In fact, I hope he does because baker has been solid for us.
And our team plays 10 players. If you’re not tripple, you get time.

I think BYU will bring in competition for the assumed starters
LosAlcoug
Mar 25, 3:01pm
I think so too. Young and co have ambitions for the final 4 and beyond.

that is also the nba model

I think that BYU playing a deep bench can be a good selling point

Mar 25, 3:01pm
I agree. A deep rotation also lightens the strain on player's bodies.

Not sure that Hall will start if we pick up a better PG. Hall is good, not great.

Mar 25, 3:01pm
Hall is better than anyone we're likely to get in the portal. You don't replace

Mar 25, 3:21pm
The UNM guy would be a better PG. He'll also be tough to get.

He'd be a great addition, but I don't think we'll pay him what someone

I bet we would let Hall walk if we nail down an elite PG. We also need to bring

Mar 25, 4:06pm
That would be a big mistake as Hall as shown he can lead teams to wins at Kansas

Mar 25, 10:42pm
Hot take, I guess: we don't need a scoring guard, we need a facilitator

Mar 25, 3:53pm
How is Crawford developing? Could he fill this role?

Mar 25, 7:30pm
Everyone assumed Hall would start last year too, until we got Demin.
OverratedHumor
Mar 25, 5:02pm
Hall has been the primary PG in crunch time and with pressure. Demin is great in

Mar 25, 10:37pm
If Hall is a starter, he will be by far the weakest link. If we have aspirations for a deep tournament run, we will

We aren’t going to get a high level scorer at pg. With AJ and Saunders we need

It is crazy that the portal opens before the games end. So stupid

Do we think Bosko will play mostly center or PF next year?
HoopDawg
Mar 25, 3:02pm
Some of both. He is a good guy to have who can play the 4 with another Center but also play the

Mar 25, 3:13pm
Which is why it's silly that some think we're too good for Jake Wahlin
Jesse Pinkman
Mar 25, 3:02pm
? is do you think he actually would be content to come in on a reduced role?
Cougz19
Mar 25, 3:10pm
If Wahlin was on this years team, he'd struggle to average double digit minutes.
tacallaway
Mar 25, 3:19pm
he would be probably allocated Traore mins
Cougz19
Mar 25, 3:26pm
Why would he get Fouss' minutes when he wouldn't play Fouss' role?
tacallaway
Mar 25, 3:40pm
He would give us another mobile and versatile big which would allow us to play..

Mar 25, 9:16pm
I love Bosko but Wahlin is a better shooter, defender and athlete with more

Ummm a guy like him isn’t playing 15-20 min for us. Those are starters minutes

I don't think it's so much that we're too good for him, as that we don't have the role

Hall should keep the same role as this year

I tend to agree, but I don't think Hall stays if that is what he thinks will happen. If BYU brings in a top

I agree if you have a no brainer upgrade like Donovan Dent then you take it. But there aren't a ton of those guys out

I think we'd be very hard pressed to get a better player than Hall

My biggest issue with Hall is the way he runs the offense. He struggles to not want to dribble a lot and the ball gets

Mar 25, 3:15pm
That is a very risky move given Hall’s position as a leader and veteran guy

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hall enter the portal to see what else is out there for him regardless of

I think the coaches have a very good idea.

Hopefully they do. I wonder, though if some players decisions may depend on how far the team goes in the tourney

Didn't realize Pinkman above basically said the same thing. But yeah, so correct..it needed to be said twice for Archaea

That is an absolutely horrible pitch to Whalin. If I'm him, that pitch isn't

Mar 25, 3:57pm
And therein lies the rub.

That's not the pitch, that's how I view him. The pitch would be we're losing 3 starters...best man wins those jobs
