People going into the portal generally want some combination of three things:

1. Money

2. More Prestige (Bigger stage..etc)

3. Playing Time


BYU can do very well with every portal recruit on numbers 1 and 2. We have lots of money and with AJ playing next year there will be a spotlight on us.

But other than SG there are only backup roles assuming everyone of the starters comes back.

Hall will be the starting PG (unless Demin stays).

We need a SG, but Baker is there for backup minutes and to compete to be the starter.

Saunders will start at SG assuming he stays.

Dybantsa will start at the 4 (will play a variety of positions offensively).

Keita will start at center.

So while there are minutes to be had, the starting roles are almost all taken. It will be interesting to see who jumps on that opportunity (young talent sees like the most obvious).
