Well let’s follow the pattern here. Kalani is head coach the entire time.
Detmer, as OC offers his nephew. Detmer gets fired. Grimes comes in and instead offers and gets Zach. Clearly Kalani is letting his assistants have autonomy in their recruiting.
So we have two options, either Kalani is responsible for all of it, meaning he has successfully recruited Wilson and Hall as good QB’s, or he’s responsible for none of it and it’s all on his assistants.
We get into a problem when people want to deny Kalani credit for the recruiting wins, while holding him accountable for the recruiting losses. That’s what I see people doing.
