BYU had 4 kick/punt returns this year which is amazing and 1 interception return
So five touchdowns on the year were from special teams or defense. However, when special teams scores it does not necessarily mean that the offense would not have scored on that drive.
They definitely had an impact but five touchdowns spread over twelve games is 2.4 points a game which would lower them to just under 29 points a game assuming that the offense did not score any points on those 4 drives we returned kicks on.
