That is not a bad thing and it's absurd to whine about. You really think it's more important for a new dad to grind away at whatever company you're working at rather than supporting his newborn early in his life???

My dad took 2-3 unpaid days off when each of his kids were born.

I took my full 12 weeks when my kid was born and it was extremely beneficial in the lives of everyone in my family, myself included. I'm not worried at all about the grinding away at my work desk that I missed out on.

Rethink your priorities in life dude.
