and I am so so so grateful that I get to spend this much time with my kid.

I work an incredibly demanding job (like 8am to 1am) and was planning to leave even though I just got a promotion, but this benefit is just so insane that it’s probably worth sticking it out till we are done with having kids.

I’m the youngest, and my older siblings only got 1-2 weeks and were right back at it. I cannot imagine having to do that. This time has been so valuable to me. I am a small government guy, but I think this is something where the government could step in and do more. Especially as we have a declining birth rate. Let’s incentivize having kids a bit more.
