For those of you who offered to pray for my wife and I, please let your family (especially those of you with children especially teenagers) know those prayers were answered today. My wife and I listened nervously to the oncologist's assistant on speaker tell us the results of my scan. I did not understand the weight I was carrying given my natural inclination towards light heartedness. I had stuffed my fear fairly deep down inside the past several days in an attempt to trust God and accept what may be coming down the pipeline. When the radiologist said the words "There is no malignant metastasis spread throughout your body. No sign at all throughout the scan. He said that it was local to the area impacted by the polypoid growth in my colon. I was shaking and in tears. The sheer weight suddenly became clear as it was lifted from my person. The clarity of how hard this was for my wife in waiting to find out if her husband was going to be ok or if she was going to have to again prepare being alone in this life. Her joy was palpable.
Please testify to those you know of the power of prayer. The love and spirit we felt prior to getting this more detailed diagnosis was incredible. No words can express that feeling. If you are dealing with someone in your family, especially a youth who is dealing with doubts about the gospel, feel free to bring them an opportunity to feel the spirit and have that experience through a testimony of prayer and service. We cannot express enough the gratitude we have for the blessings bestowed upon us because of the prayers given by many of you.
Thank you again. I pray the Lord grant me the opportunity to pay it forward through efforts to minister in any way we can. We are truly blessed. Thank you brothers and sisters. Thank you again and again..
