My daughter was broken hearted when she was cut from the volleyball
And softball teams.
It hurt, and it hurt watching her go through it.
She joined the swim team and had a great experience there. Probably better than she would have in either softball or volleyball.
And became an excellent swimmer - a skill she'll have and use life- long.
