My 8th grade son is upset he didn't make the A team in football
He's a talented athlete, but very much on the skinny side. Like super skinny. It's also his first year playing tackle football and usually most kids in their first years don't make the A team. This was of no consolation to him. I'm trying to encourage to keep trying and playing hard and that being on a team isn't just about him. To do his best....and give 100% on every rep cause how you practice is how you'll play.

He's taking it hard and I'm struggling to find a way to help him feel better about it. I mean even with being super skinny he had the guts to give it a shot, but he doesn't see it that way. Perspective is tough for a 13 yo.
