Utah is a respectable but not spectacular medical school compared to its
peer institutions.
Compared to other public universities in the West, it's not on the same level as the strongest California med schools, the University of Washington, etc.
But it is solid. I've noticed that people from Utah have a disproportionately high opinion of Utah's medical school. Which really isn't any different than biases we all show towards things we are familiar with.
