My problem of having children too independent (like buying their own phones and cars), then I relinquish my parental
Control over it.
Example: if I believe my kids out to buy their own phone and pay their own phone plan, then it is their property, not mine.
I'm not suggesting parents ought to "provide everything" to their children without children learning to work...but there needs to be a balance so that teens are too independent too quickly.
They need supervision and mentoring while their little prefrontal cortex is trying to figure things out.
