and adequate accountability and enforcement of the rules and the preservation of the spirit of the law, combined with the current iteration of the "free agent" transfer portal, it's not something that I personally care to support, nor do I intend to ever do so without changes.
Fans and Alums pay for tickets, merchandise, concessions, personal travel expenses to show up and show out, etc. If there is no commitment and/or enforcable contracts to remain at a school, and loyalty from the players (who are understandably and deservedly in this for themselves, not their supporters), then let the schools who are bringing in all the cash pay the players and end the charade.
Without fan support, there is no product to sell or revenue coming into these programs. And for many, college sports have now jumped the shark, and it's only a matter of time before it's realized by the powers that be. Hopefully, something will be done before it's completely broken for everyone involved.
