Wasn't the idea that players could promote goods and businesses?
Of course it is being used by willing-people to attract athletes. That's fine, IMO.
Part of what it has all revealed is how little the Name, Image, and Likeness for nearly all players is worth. I don't even see Jazz players promoting much. So not all that surprising that a BYU FB player's ability to drive business with his face is very limited. Athletes aren't really celebrities most of the time.
