Median cost of home compared to median household income over the decades...
2022: $387k/$70k = 5.5
2012: $181k/$50k = 3.6
2002: $161k/$42k = 3.8
1992: $100k/$30k = 3.3
1982: $62k/$19k = 3.3
1972: $28k/$9k = 3.1
One of these is not like the others. People who tell millennials that they need to suck it up and spend their money better are idiots. What is often the most expensive purchase in someone's life? A home. It's harder now to get into a home than it ever has been.

Well 100k isn’t what it used to be that is true but things should always be compared with regard to cost of living
