BYU's offensive impotence was the biggest problem that game. They had plenty of chances and squandered most of them
With things like holding penalties and dropped passes on 4th down and negative 16 yard pass plays and fumbles and so forth. BYU had no business only scoring 17 points on that defense.

BYU averaged less than 2 points per drive for their other 9 drives. That ain't getting it done against anyone
