Good point. Nothing wrong with that.
But to assume that quality of life is damaged if you work more than 40 is just stupid. And for most people, needs could be met with 40 hours a week. I know mine could, but I have a lot of wants that couldn't...and more to the point, those that I love have a lot of wants, and it is great to provide them. So much fun and I enjoy providing it to them so much for what really isn't a sacrifice given how many hours we have every week.

It would be great if we could see how people's time is spent along with this discussion. The hours we watch TV, play games, chat on CB. That amount of time for some would probably be mind boggling, and if I had to guess, a lot more than the difference between 55 and 40.
