I was walking back to my seat in the student section when I looked to the southwest and saw the squall line. I looked to my brother who was with me and I told him we were about to get nailed. We barely made it back to our seats when all heck broke loose. Unlike most people who ran for cover we stayed in our seats. We stayed in our seats for the majority of the storm (Until the event staff personally came to us and told us to get under the bleachers) . We didn't have ponchos or jackets all we had were t-shirts and shorts. So naturally we were absolutely drenched.
After about 10 minutes spent to the side of the bleachers (in the rain) a group of students rushed the bleachers and we were among the first of them. They announced for all students to get back under the bleachers and that it wasn't optional. A couple left but the majority of us stayed put.
After a while two guys across the field (on the West Stands) Started the B...Y...U...Cougars chant and those of us in the Student Section shouted along (those two guys were pretty darn loud though).
All in all we had waited a total of 8 hours (from getting in the line to kickoff). It was some of the most fun I've ever had at a BYU game.
